Our client, a leading Investment Bank, located in St. Louis, Mo is looking to hire a Senior Risk Manager with solid experience in Counterparty Risk Management. The Senior CRM Risk Analyst will work directly with the Director of Credit Risk Management to maintain and ensure compliance with the Firm's CRM policy. This position provides analysis and evaluation to assign risk ratings and credit limits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industry counterparty credit risk management best practices and regulatory guidelines (e.g. SR 11-10 Interagency Supervisory Guidance on Counterparty Credit Risk Management).
  • Participate in defining Firm, Business, and Regulatory requirements for the continued enhancement of the CRM framework.
  • Evaluate industry fundamentals to determine relevant factors affecting counterparties. Industries may include commercial banks, mortgage banks, broker dealers and regulated and non-regulated asset managers.
  • Analyze counterparty credit fundamentals to determine financial strength and stability.
  • Develop written credit reviews to support credit risk rating and limit determinations based upon industry and fundamental credit analysis along with transaction analysis in conformance with the CRM policy.
  • Conduct ongoing surveillance of macroeconomic conditions, key risk events and counterparty and industry fundamentals to assess the relative impact to the Firm's credit risk profile.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of capital markets products, including drivers of current and potential exposure.
  • Assess potential exposure associated with transactions and/or limits and respond to time sensitive account opening and trade requests.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Economics required.
  • 4+ years of experience in banking or finance required.
  • Strong credit analysis and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work across the organization (front office business
    personnel, new accounts team, operations, compliance and management.)
